Autobooking FAQ

The rules that decide which cancellations we tell you about, and what you do when one appears.

What is auto-booking here?

It is a set of rules: centres, calendar days, weekday hours, and notice. A slot has to pass those rules before we treat it as a match. You still confirm it on MyRoadSafety. We do not take the RSA fee, and we do not move the test until you do.

How is a slot chosen when more than one person wants it?

MyRoadSafety gives the slot to the person who completes the booking. We do not hold a slot back from one customer to give it to another. An alert goes out as soon as we see a match.

What happens when a match appears?

You get one notification for the best slot, not one push per opening. The rest stay in Found Slots. Open MyRoadSafety and take it if it is still there. If it has gone, the screen says so.

Why does it say I need to log in?

The MyRoadSafety session has ended, or it was never connected. We stop checking that account and ask you to sign in again. We do not borrow another login to keep scanning.

Why did a slot disappear?

Someone booked it, or the portal stopped listing it. That is normal. We keep watching for the next one that matches.

Are failed checks normal?

A temporary failure means MyRoadSafety did not answer. Your account is fine, and we try again more slowly. You can turn on a notification for those failures in Preferences. A dead session and an RSA restriction are different: we stop and tell you plainly. We never describe either as “no slots”.

What should I do if nothing is booking?

Check that watching is on, the login still has time left, and the centres and days are saved. Widen the days or shorten the notice if the rules are tighter than you meant. Then write to us from the contact page with what the app is showing.

How do I raise the chance of a match?

Keep the MyRoadSafety login active, choose more than one centre if you can travel, and avoid a notice period that excludes every cancellation you would actually attend.

Contact us if a screen does not match what you expected.
