How it works
Test Switch IE checks your own MyRoadSafety account and tells you when an earlier practical test appears.
What does Test Switch IE do?
It watches your own MyRoadSafety account for practical-test cancellations at up to four centres, inside the dates and hours you set, and sends a push and an email when one matches. Theory tests are not included. See supported tests.
How do I start?
- Create an account with your email.
- Connect MyRoadSafety with RSA login or MyGovID. The sign-in happens on their page.
- We read whether RSA will let you move a test you already hold.
- Set centres, dates, and how many days of notice you need.
- Turn watching on. When a match appears, open MyRoadSafety and confirm it there.
What do you charge?
Launch is free. Fast checks run for the first three days of watching, then free accounts are checked less often. A paid plan, when it is offered, is for our alerts. It is not the RSA test fee, and it does not guarantee a date.
Does the price include the RSA test fee?
No. The practical-test fee is paid to the RSA on MyRoadSafety. For a car test that is often €85, and other categories differ. We are not the RSA and we do not take that payment.
Why is a slot not guaranteed?
A cancellation has to exist, sit inside your dates and notice period, and still be there when you open the portal. Someone else can take it first. We increase how quickly you hear about one. We cannot create one.
What if nothing appears?
You keep the test you already have. Watching does not cancel it. If you later pay for a plan and we never start checking, the terms say how to ask for that fee back.
How do auto-booking rules work?
If you turn them on, we only treat a slot as a match when it fits the days, hours, and notice you set. A five-day notice means we will not flag a test that is only two days away. You still confirm the booking on MyRoadSafety. More answers are in the autobooking FAQ.
Do I have to sign in to MyRoadSafety again?
Yes, when RSA ends the session. We cannot renew it, and we will not keep checking with another person’s login. The app shows how long the current session has left and asks you to sign in again when it dies. That pause is not the same as “no slots”.
What if someone else wants the same slot?
The portal gives the slot to whoever completes the booking. An alert is a head start, not a reservation.
Can I book a notified slot myself?
Yes. Open the alert and confirm on MyRoadSafety. You can also ask to be told about openings that fall outside your auto-booking hours, so you can decide.
How do I improve the odds?
Add another centre, widen the days you can attend, or shorten the notice period. The shortest notice we allow is one day, because a very soon test is often hard to move again.
