Who we are

Test Switch IE (“we”) provides the website and the iOS and Android app that watch for an earlier practical driving test. We are not the Road Safety Authority and not NDLS. For privacy questions, write to support at support@testswitch.ie.

What we store

• Your email address and a hash of your password, so you can sign in to us.
• Your driver number, current booking reference, and the centres and dates you asked us to watch.
• An encrypted copy of the MyRoadSafety session, so we can read availability on that account only.
• Slot sightings, alerts we sent, and push tokens for your phone.
• If you later buy a plan, the store’s transaction id. We do not keep the card number.

What we do not store

PPSN, home address, and card details. We do not store your MyRoadSafety or MyGovID password. The sign-in happens on their page. The session is decrypted only while we are checking that account, and it is never used for anyone else.

Why we use it

To run your account, to check the centres you chose, to send alerts, to keep the service reliable, and to meet a legal duty if one applies. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

Account data stays while the account exists. Deleting the account removes the stored session, preferences, and history. Sightings and operational logs are kept only as long as we need them to run and secure the service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or a restriction, and you can complain to the Data Protection Commission. Email support@testswitch.ie to start a request.

Children

The service is for people who can hold a learner permit and sit a practical test. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
